Under First Past the Post, not every vote is equal, meaning that a healthy democracy, where political diversity and collaboration is embraced, is out of reach. The Green Party has long argued for the much-needed evolution of our electoral system. We believe that Proportional Representation is fairer than First Past the Post and makes political representation more effective.

Merton Green Party is grateful to the Make Votes Matter campaign for holding a stall in Wimbledon on 9th March. Our parliamentary candidates, Rachel Brooks (Wimbledon) and Pippa Maslin (Mitcham and Morden), enjoyed meeting the campaigners.
